Mar. 5 - Mar. 11 Playtesting


This week we are preparing for playtesting sessions. We added an intro level for player control and were ready to add the new ability Edge-Cut.

Developer Log

  • Mar. 5: Add check and restrictions for EdgeCut
    • An object to be cut cannot be too close to the walls
  • Mar. 6:  up-down and target checking for EdgeCut
    • An object to be cut cannot exceed the upper or lower bound  of the cutter wall (from the player's view.)
  • Mar. 7: 
    • EdgeCut updates
      • support rotation
      • new collision checking method
      • enable objects to be cut recursively
    • SuperView last room changed to a bowling room
  • Mar. 9: Intro-level scene setup
  • Mar. 10:
    • Adding instructions for basic control (move, jump, pickup, drop)
    • Fix the pause menu doesn't show up properly bug
    • Support Edge-Cut with any direction
  • Mar. 11:
    • Add laser introduction in Intro-level
    • Fix bug that objects after cut bot hold in the center
    • update project setting/physics/layer collision matrix
    • Fix bug that objects highlight behind wall and player can grab object behind the wall
