Mar. 12 - Mar. 18 Playtesting Cont.


This week we playtested with the First-Year Learning Community and the Ubisoft ambassadors. We finally added music and Sfxs into our game and had a functioning UI menu. We also started level deign for EdgeCut ability.

Developer Log

  • Mar. 12:
    • Add two levels of EdgeCut
    • Add post-processing and pro builder
    • Add debug mode for Edgecut (showing the ray, collision, target points, etc.)
  • Mar. 13: 
    • Made and reset box that with objects thrown in, can reset all the objects in the scene
    • Add menu UI
      • start menu
      • setting menu with a static variable controller
        • mouse sensitive setting
      • pause menu
    • Google form for the post-playtesting survey and playtesting observation finished
  • Mar. 14: Playtesting with First-Year Learning Community  
    • Add drawing instructions/hints into levels
    • Decorate the intro level, lights, and wall textures, models
    • Modify the layout of the first level
  • Mar. 15: 
    • Bug fixes on UI
    • Fixing input system
    • Add intro system:  camera zooming at the beginning of each level
  • Mar. 16: Playtesting with Ubisoft
    • Adding int for coding level
    • Adding music and Sfx into the main menu, intro levels, and EdgeCut levels
    • Make grab speed constant on any device with different frame rates
    • Add music volume setting.
    • Smoother camera transaction
